Keep the field connection detachable
PRK5B/NX-M8 replaces a fixed cable with an integrated four-pin M8 male connector. A suitable mating cordset lets the electrical connection be separated at the sensing head, which can be useful in maintenance-oriented NPN machine layouts. Check the pin count as well as the M8 thread; the connector name alone is not enough to specify a replacement cable.
Account for the complete timing chain
Order code 50149735 weighs 18 g and measures 11 × 32.4 × 20 mm. Its single NPN output provides dark-on behaviour. Assess the 10–30 V DC supply, 500 Hz switching frequency and 1 ms response against the controller input and target passage time. Two LEDs support local state checks at the installation.
Specify the optical and cable layout together
The polarized retro-reflective arrangement uses an opposing reflector, with a 0.02–5 m operating range specified for TK(S) 100×100. Modular conveyors and replaceable compact machine stations are possible applications after validation. Leave adequate space for the mating cable and check environmental sealing at the connection. Automation can review the NPN interface, reflector distance and four-pin cordset selection as one technical supply requirement.
