Place the connection away from the sensing head
PRK5B/PX-200-M8 uses a 200 mm PVC pigtail terminating in a four-pin M8 male connector. This separates the sensing orientation from the position of the detachable connection and can help when a connector directly below the body would obstruct the layout. Provide proper support for the short cable so vibration and pulling forces are not transferred to the sensor.
Match the optical transition to the machine sequence
Order code 50153358 has one dark-on PNP output. The polarized retro-reflective system uses a 645 nm red LED and specifies a 0.02–5 m range with a TK(S) 100×100 reflector. Consider the 500 Hz switching frequency, 1 ms response and 10–30 V DC supply alongside the target passage time and controller input requirements.
Review the pigtail as part of the installation
The PC-ABS body measures 11 × 32.4 × 20 mm and the sensor assembly weighs 40 g. Its black cable has three 0.14 mm² conductors and a plastic connector body. Verify the IP67 rating and −40…+60 °C operating range for the environment.
